La Commissione europea ha introdotto il concetto di “Industria 5.0” nel 2021, passando dall’approccio orientato alla tecnologia dell’Industria 4.0 a un approccio incentrato sulla persona, che dia priorità alle esigenze e agli interessi umani nei processi produttivi. Le conseguenze della crisi climatica e della pandemia hanno costretto le imprese a ripensare le loro attività e ad adattare i loro modelli di business per restare competitive.
In questo contesto, il progetto BRIDGESMEs mira a supportare le PMI europee in cinque ecosistemi industriali
1 – Mobilità, Trasporti e Automotive;
2 – Aerospazio e Difesa;
3 – Elettronica;
4 – Industrie Culturali e Creative;
5 – Turismo
nel ripensare i loro modelli di business e le loro attività per diventare più resilienti, sostenibili e “human-centred”.
Il progetto faciliterà le alleanze tra le PMI tradizionali e le PMI e le start-up specializzate in tecnologia, accelererà la diffusione di soluzioni innovative sul mercato e rafforzerà la cooperazione tra i cluster nelle rispettive filiere.

Immersive Futures: XR, Digitalisation and the Rise of the Metaverse
Available on the Learning Platform
CNR ISPC launches its first training course within the European project BRIDGESMEs, offering a practical introduction to extended reality (XR), digitalisation, and the metaverse and their transformative impact on the cultural, creative, and tourism sectors.
The course explores emerging immersive technologies through real use cases, highlighting opportunities and challenges for professionals interested in designing innovative experiences. Particular attention is given to Industry 5.0 principles, with a strong focus on human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience.
The training is aimed at:
- Professionals and practitioners in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and Tourism
- Learners interested in digital tools and immersive design
- Those seeking an interdisciplinary and future-oriented perspective
At the end of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Competence attesting to the skills acquired.
To access the training, registration on the Learning Platform is required.

As part of the Horizon Europe project BRIDGESMEs – which supports European SMEs in their transition toward Industry 5.0 through innovation, cooperation, and ecosystem building – this first webinar explores the frontiers of immersive technologies, Extended Reality (XR) and the Metaverse, focusing on applications in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and Tourism sectors.
Organised by the CNR ISPC, the event brings together researchers, technologists, and SMEs to present and discuss cutting-edge experiences in the field of interactive 3D, immersive storytelling, and digital transformation of cultural spaces.
