He carries out research in the field of archaeometry and diagnostics for the purpose of knowledge, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage. In the archaeometric field, he deals with the study of the origin of ancient marbles, the identification of materials and the execution techniques of mosaics and wall paintings over a period of time between the fifth century B.C. and XVIII century.
