Archaeologist, specializing in digital archaeology, a key branch of the Digital Humanities, examining its evolution over time and its current developments, with particular attention to automated cataloguing, online resources, databases, open data, and electronic archaeological publishing.

Editor in chief (since 2023) of the international Diamond Open Access journal “Archeologia e Calcolatori”, she coordinated the work of the Rome Research Unit within the PNRR project H2IOSC – Humanities and Cultural Heritage Italian Open Science Cloud (2023-2026), contributing to the development of open access platforms for the collection and dissemination of data related to digital archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

As part of the CNR ISPC Open Science Research Group, she has promoted the principles of Open Science and Open Access through numerous publications as well as participation in meetings and training courses, with particular attention to electronic journals in the field of archaeology. Since 2021 she has been the CNR ISPC contact person for the assignment of DOI codes.

As a member of the CNR ISPC Archaeology in Lazio Research Group, she has carried out survey and material study activities, particularly in the Sabina area, focusing especially on the terracotta architectural decoration of Roman villas in this region. She developed several databases for the automated cataloguing of ancient artefacts, including one dedicated to Etruscan and Roman bronzes conserved in the Claudio Faina Museum in Orvieto (http://bronzifaina.ispc.cnr.it/) and another on the Campana plaques from the excavation of the villa at Cottanello (RI) (https://cottanello.ispc.cnr.it/).
