Philology & Archaeology | Ancient Near Eastern Studies | History of Oriental Studies
Philologist and archaeologist, she primarily focuses on pre-classical Anatolia, with particular attention to Hittite culture. As part of her research on the history of Oriental studies, she coordinates the project “Interdisciplinary Research Group on the History of Oriental Studies” (GRISSO). She directs the monographic series Documenta Asiana – Series of Studies on Ancient Anatolia and Western Asia(DA) of the CNR and is co-editor of the series History of Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Egyptology (HANESE), Brill–De Gruyter. She is the Principal Investigator of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project “DiWA – Dialogues between Ancient Western Asia and Us. Untold Stories from Italian Collections and Archives.”
