Description
SSHOpenCloud-IT is a digital alliance promoted by the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR DSU). It integrates the PNRR Research Infrastructure clusters FOSSR and H2IOSC into a FAIR federated cloud for the management and sharing of data in the social sciences, humanities, and cultural heritage domains, supporting the digital development of Southern Italy.
The role of CNR ISPC
CNR ISPC, coordinator of E-RIHS.it, the Italian node of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS ERIC), participates in the project by leveraging its strategic role in the development of advanced digital services for Heritage Science and the expertise gained through the H2IOSC project, within which E-RIHS.it coordinated the collaboration among the Research Infrastructures of the Cluster.
Through E-RIHS.it, CNR ISPC will provide access to advanced instrumentation, interoperable data, and digital services, promoting their use not only by the scientific community but also by cultural and creative industries. CNR ISPC's sites in Lecce, Naples, and Catania contribute to this goal through the further development of the E-RIHS.it DIGILAB platform and the strengthening of federated data centres, building on the activities carried out within the H2IOSC project.
