Greek and Roman Numismatic | Medieval Numismatic | Iconography of Ancient Coin Types | Coin Circulation in Late Antiquity and in the Early Middle Ages

Archaeologist specialized in the study of ancient and medieval coinage, with particular focus on its historical, economic, and iconographic aspects. She has participated in numerous research campaigns at Leptis Magna, Libya, where she catalogued over 60,000 Roman coins from the Misurata Treasure.

More recently, she has focused her research on Sicily. She collaborates with the Regional Archaeological Museum “P. Orsi” in Syracuse, where is responsible for the study and publication of coins with Arabic inscriptions minted first by the Arabs and later by the Normans on the island.
