My research activity focuses on the study of the interactions between inorganic conservation treatments and carbonate substrates, as well as on the development of innovative analytical protocols, such as X‑ray diffraction techniques in non‑conventional geometries using synchrotron radiation, and IR spectroscopy mapping and imaging, for the advanced investigation of Cultural Heritage materials.
