Professional profile
Chemist | Pigment alteration analyst | XRD data analyst | XRF data analyst
Research fellow at CNR ISPC XRAYLab, focusing on the study of degradation processes of pictorial pigments.
In April 2022, she obtained her master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Turin, in collaboration with the Conservation and restoration center “La Venaria Reale”.
In February 2026, she was awarded a PhD in Chemistry cum laude from Sapienza University of Rome, with a dissertation entitled “Advanced 2D and 3D X-ray imaging techniques for the non-invasive and in situ analysis of pigments and degradation processes in pictorial works”, carried out at XRAYLab in the framework of the national PhD programme in Heritage Science.
Her research focuses on the application of X-ray-based advanced imaging techniques for the non-invasive investigation of alteration mechanisms in pictorial materials, with particular emphasis on inorganic pigments in cultural heritage objects.
