Classical archaeologist, she specialises in Roman‑period material culture and the archaeology of production, with particular attention to archaeometallurgy and archaeometric investigations, as well as to heritage valorisation and museum interpretation. She has participated in numerous archaeological excavations in Italy and abroad, as a member of Italian archaeological missions in Malta and at Hierapolis of Phrygia (Turkey).
