Researcher in Ancient Topography and Landscape Archaeology, with consolidated experience in the study of historical landscapes in central–southern Italy (with particular reference to the Tavoliere delle Puglie and the Salento) and in the Adriatic region (western Albania).

Her research focuses on the reconstruction of ancient landscapes and the production of archaeological maps for the systematic inventory of archaeological evidence, as well as on the analysis and topographic contextualization of features identified through the specialist study of remotely sensed imagery.

She is involved in the management and implementation of digital cartography and graphic/alphanumeric databases within Territorial Information Systems dedicated to archaeological and monumental heritage (also using specialist software, e.g., GeoMedia Professional); the systematic application of aerial photography to the reconstruction of settlement dynamics and to studies on territorial organization; and the analysis, management, and processing of different types of remotely sensed data (historical and recent; high- and low-altitude; vertical and oblique; orthophotos; satellite imagery, including declassified satellite imagery; vegetation indices, e.g., NDVI).

She has advanced expertise in georeferencing techniques and in the graphic restitution and coding of archaeological traces, using 3D CAD modules and image-processing tools (MicroStation SE, Descartes, MGE Base Mapper, GlobalMapper). She also integrates technologies and instruments for data acquisition and management (classical and satellite-based surveying) and processes remote-sensing datasets with dedicated software (ENVI, eCognition), with applications targeted to the interpretation of spectral anomalies.
