Archaeologist | Expert in ancient topography | Remote Sensing Specialist

PhD in Ancient Topography and a postgraduate degree in Classical Archaeology from the University of Lecce. She specializes in topographic surveys, remote image analysis and interpretation, documentation of archaeological sites (particularly in the provinces of Taranto, Lecce, and Brindisi, and in some areas of Albania and Morocco), and the related construction and implementation of dedicated GIS. She has participated in several excavation campaigns in Puglia, especially in Salento, and in Lazio. For several years, he has conducted topographic surveys in Puglia, Albania, and Morocco. She has held teaching positions within the framework of agreements for the creation of professional development courses and has taught and led seminars at the Department of Ancient Topography at the University of Salento, from the 1996-1997 academic year to the present, giving theoretical and practical lessons in the discipline.

She collaborated in the construction and editing of a computer database created with Visual Basic – Oracle software, dedicated to topographical surveys of the territory (in use at the Ancient Topography Laboratory of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Salento - Lecce), created according to the methodologies developed for the drafting of the Archaeological Map of Italy, within the framework of agreements with the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, in order to be compatible with the ICCD card systems.
