Senior Researcher at the CNR ISPC, with extensive experience in the field of Geographic Information Science applied to cultural heritage, remote sensing and advanced spatial analysis. For over fifteen years, I have been conducting research, methodological development and scientific coordination on topics that integrate GIS, remote sensing, geostatistics, spatial machine learning and territorial data management for the conservation, enhancement and protection of cultural heritage.
My work extends to the modelling of natural and anthropogenic risks in relation to cultural heritage, the development of replicable workflows based on Copernicus data (Sentinel-5P, Sentinel-2), ERA5-Land, LiDAR, UAS and GeoAI approaches for the extraction and interpretation of complex patterns. I have gained specific expertise in the construction of geodatabases, the standardisation and harmonisation of heterogeneous data, the implementation of predictive methods, and the assessment of the effects of climate change on heritage.
I have participated in numerous research projects and activities for the development of digital platforms and infrastructures for the management and cataloguing of cultural and territorial data.
I have many years of teaching experience as a university lecturer in GIS, spatial analysis, remote sensing and IT for cultural heritage.
