Professional profile

Conservation Scientist | Indoor Air Quality | XRF spectroscopist | Materials scientist

She holds a degree in Chemistry and conducts research in the field of analytical chemistry applied to the conservation science of cultural heritage.

Her work focuses mainly on the study of materials and conservation environments for cultural heritage, with particular attention to degradation processes and the development of preventive conservation strategies.

She has gained experience in the study of air quality in museum, historic, and archival environments, managing the design and implementation of monitoring campaigns aimed at identifying pollutants critical to conservation and analyzing the interactions between indoor and outdoor contaminants. She also carries out non-invasive, multi-analytical diagnostics for the characterization of cultural heritage materials, with particular reference to ceramics and the study of pigments on manuscripts and historical artifacts, participating in diagnostic campaigns carried out by the Italian node E-RIHS.it within the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS).
