Description
EREDHERA is an Italian–Argentinian scientific cooperation project devoted to the documentation, study and digital enhancement of Argentina’s palaeontological heritage. Its activities focus on the collections of the Ernesto Bachmann Municipal Museum in Villa El Chocón and on palaeontological contexts in northern Patagonia. The project integrates photogrammetry, 3D scanning, CT data and landscape survey using UAV and SLAM systems. The resulting models are organised and published through the open-source ATON framework to support research, conservation, training and museum engagement. EREDHERA also promotes knowledge transfer to local staff and the development of sustainable and replicable protocols for palaeontological Digital Heritage. Activities also include the documentation of dinosaur-track sites and the organisation of joint scientific initiatives involving Italian and Argentinian institutions.
