Geophysicist specialized in high-resolution geophysical imaging. She holds a degree in Geophysical Sciences and a PhD in Earth Sciences. Her research focuses on the development and application of non-invasive geophysical techniques for the analysis and characterization of the subsurface in geological, environmental, and engineering contexts, as well as for geoarchaeological applications and the conservation of cultural heritage.
Her scientific activity focuses on the integration of advanced geophysical methodologies for subsurface investigation, with particular expertise in the following areas:
- Applied Geophysics: seismic wave propagation and tomography, seismological exploration, and seismic site response analysis; Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), magnetic surveys, and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
- Archaeogeophysics: application of geophysical techniques for the prospection and characterization of archaeological sites.
Her research interests also include 2D and 3D subsurface modeling and visualization, integration of geophysical and geological data, advanced digital signal processing, and geophysical inversion techniques. Her expertise includes ground-penetrating radar (GPR) investigations, seismic surveys, electrical resistivity tomography, and magnetometry, with data acquisition and interpretation carried out in terrestrial, marine, and coastal environments.
She participates in national and European research projects and initiatives aimed at advancing innovation in applied geophysics and developing non-invasive methodologies for diagnostics, monitoring, and documentation of cultural heritage.
