Professional profile
Conservation Scientist | NMR expert | Heritage Science | Physical-Chemistry
Her scientific activity lies at the intersection of applied sciences and cultural heritage conservation, a field in which she is internationally recognized for her pioneering work on the use of unilateral Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).
With over 60 publications, her research focuses on the physicochemical characterization of ancient materials to understand the complex interactions between original artwork materials, degradation products, and materials introduced during conservation treatments. Furthermore, she is active in technology transfer and fosters interdisciplinary dialogue between STEM disciplines and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
