Specialised in Classical Archaeology, she received a PhD defending a thesis on Roman necropolises in Pompeii. Moving from this study, her interests focused on the theoretical aspects related to cultural interaction, examined by means of material culture, iconography, written sources and epigraphy. Her current research concerns with contact between Greek, Magna Grecian, Phoenician and Punic world.
