The CNR ISPC contribution to TECHNART 2023
The 2023 edition of TECHNART, the international conference on analytical techniques in art and cultural heritage took place in Lisbon on May 7-12.
The aim of the conference is to provide a scientific forum to present and promote the use of analytical techniques in the field of art and cultural heritage worldwide to stimulate contacts and exchange experiences, making a bridge between science and art.
Conference topics
- X-ray analysis (XRF, PIXE, XRD, SEM-EDX)
- Confocal X-ray microscopy (3D µ-XRF, 3D µ-PIXE)
- Synchrotron, ion beam and neutron-based techniques/instrumentation
- FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy and microscopy
- UV-Vis and NIR absorption/reflectance and fluorescence
- Laser-based analytical methods (LIBS etc.)
- Magnetic resonance techniques
- Chromatography (GC, HPLC) and mass spectrometry
- Optical and coherent imaging techniques
- Mobile spectrometry and spectroscopy
- Remote sensing and hyperspectral imaging
- Case studies employing one or more analytical methods
The conference saw the participation of scientists from all over the world.
The CNR ISPC participated with 5 research laboratories specialised in the conference topics (XRAYLab, Raman Spectroscopy Lab, Novel Approaches and Technologies for Heritage Conservation Lab, DHiLab and Heritage Materials Science Lab), 10 presentations, 8 co-authors presentations and 14 posters.
The 2025 edition will be organised in Italy by CNR ISPC and CNR SCITEC along with E-RIHS.it.
