He has solid and in‑depth expertise in the methodologies used for the study of epigraphic artefacts, aimed at their use as documentary sources for historical reconstruction. His skills include bibliographic and archival research, field survey and detailed analysis of artefacts, cataloguing in both paper and digital formats (www.edr-edr.it), typological and chronological classification, historical‑archaeological contextualization, and the dissemination of research results.
He has also carried out university teaching as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Macerata, Department of Humanities, in the courses Exegetics of Ancient Historical Sources (a.y. 2021–2022; 2022–2023) and Roman Antiquities (a.y. 2022–2023; 2023–2024; 2024–2025).
He has excellent editorial skills—scientific writing, cataloguing entries, text revision, and index preparation—developed through collaborations with several publishing houses, including Fabrizio Serra Editore, Sapienza Università Editrice, De Gruyter Brill, Mondadori Electa, and Erma di Bretschneider.
He also has solid experience in cultural heritage enhancement and museum education, gained during the design and installation of the Museo Civico di Alatri.
His main scientific interests include:
- the army of ancient Rome, with a particular focus on urban troops and specifically the Praetorian cohorts;
- public baths in Late Antique Rome, through the study of epigraphic sources;
- the epigraphic landscape of the Roman Forum;
- the phenomenon of epigraphic collecting;
- sacred inscriptions of Rome;
- the phenomenon of epigraphic forgery.
