La peculiarit\u00e0 del laboratorio consiste nell\u2019indirizzare la ricerca verso la continua ottimizzazione delle metodologie convenzionali, soprattutto non-invasive, per rispondere alle criticit\u00e0 che emergono dall\u2019esperienza sul campo, sia che si tratti di realt\u00e0 museali che di cantiere. In collaborazione con il Central Laser Facility del Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL-STFC, UK), il Raman Lab del CNR ISPC ha sviluppato recentemente una nuova tecnica Raman, <strong>micro-Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (micro-SORS)<\/strong>, per lo studio non-invasivo delle porzioni pi\u00f9 interne dei materiali stratificati, come stratigrafie pittoriche; la tecnica \u00e8 stata recentemente riconosciuta dalla <em>Coblentz Society, <\/em>un\u2019organizzazione non-profit fondata con lo scopo di favorire la comprensione e l\u2019applicazione della spettroscopia vibrazionale, che ha conferito il premio <em>Craver Award<\/em> alla dott.ssa Claudia Conti, ricercatrice della sede milanese dell\u2019ISPC, per aver contribuito in modo significativo allo sviluppo della dotato di uno spettrometro da banco dispersivo micro-Raman (Senterra, Bruker), un prototipo da banco avanzato (Renishaw, InVia Qontor) modificato per incrementare la risoluzione spaziale e per 3D micro-SORS mapping\/imaging, e un prototipo portatile realizzato interamente nel nostro laboratorio, costituito da uno spettrometro WP785 (Wasatch Photonics), accoppiato ad una CCD iDus DU4011A-BR-DD (Andor), un laser a diodo 785-nm (IPS) e un\u00a0 fascio di fibre ottiche micrometriche (Armadillo SIA &#8211; LV) che permette l\u2019acquisizione simultanea di spettri Raman convenzionali e micro-SORS.<\/p>\n<p>Grazie alla sua elevata selettivit\u00e0 chimica, data dalla capacit\u00e0 di identificare la composizione molecolare di composti organici ed inorganici, e alla sua elevata risoluzione laterale (pochi \u00b5m con strumenti micro-Raman da banco e poche decine di \u00b5m con strumentazione portatile), la spettroscopia Raman \u00e8 fondamentale per la caratterizzazione della tecnica esecutiva, dello stato di conservazione dell\u2019opera e della sua storia conservativa.<\/p>\n<p>Il Raman Lab si inserisce all\u2019interno di una rete di laboratori CNR ISPC attraverso la quale \u00e8 possibile realizzare protocolli multi-analitici integrati. Le competenze e le strumentazioni del laboratorio di spettroscopia Raman sono parte integrante della piattaforma <strong>MOLAB <\/strong>dell\u2019infrastruttura europea <strong>ERIHS,<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-rihs.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><script
