The art and technique of Margarito d\u2019Arezzo and his contemporaries<\/strong> ha riunito ad Arezzo, dal 9 all\u201911 ottobre 2025, storici dell\u2019arte, conservatori e scienziati del patrimonio provenienti da alcune delle pi\u00f9 autorevoli istituzioni europee e statunitensi, tra cui la <strong>National Gallery di Londra<\/strong>, la <strong>National Gallery of Art di Washington<\/strong>, la <strong>Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI)<\/strong> e gli Istituti <strong>ISPC e SCITEC<\/strong> of <strong>Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR)<\/strong>, insieme al <strong>Museo Nazionale d\u2019Arte Medievale e Moderna di Arezzo (MNAMM)<\/strong>, promotore dell\u2019iniziativa.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column class=\"uncode_text_column\" ><p>Il convegno ha rappresentato il punto di arrivo di un articolato progetto di ricerca pluriennale che, attraverso l\u2019integrazione di studi storico-artistici e analisi diagnostiche all\u2019avanguardia, ha esplorato i materiali, le tecniche e i processi esecutivi dei dipinti di Margarito e del suo contesto artistico.<\/p>\n<p>Grazie all\u2019utilizzo di tecniche non invasive come la spettroscopia di riflettanza iperspettrale (RIS), la fluorescenza a raggi X macro (MA-XRF) e la diffrazione di raggi X (XRD), \u00e8 stato possibile indagare in profondit\u00e0 le opere del maestro, restituendo dati inediti sulla struttura delle tavole, sui pigmenti, sui leganti organici e sulle modalit\u00e0 di applicazione delle Le indagini hanno permesso di mettere in relazione queste opere con i dipinti custoditi alla National Gallery di Londra e alla National Gallery of Art di Washington, rivelando sorprendenti analogie tecniche e cromatiche e aprendo nuove prospettive sulla pratica di bottega di Margarito e dei suoi collaboratori.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"uncode_text_column\" ><p>Le sessioni del convegno hanno spaziato dalle indagini diagnostiche ai temi storico-artistici e iconografici, con contributi che affrontano anche il significato e la funzione delle tavole francescane, la circolazione dei modelli ruolo centrale \u00e8 riservato inoltre alle ricerche sulla <strong>Madonna di Santa Maria in Valle a Laterina<\/strong>, che ha portato alla ricostruzione ipotetica dell\u2019aspetto originario del
